On exhibition

Today we finished organising an exhibition of students works at my university. A large part of the exhibition is painting and drawing, but there also some ceramics. As for me - I put there my figurines. I made a box from plexiglas to cover them.
I didn't photograph all the exhibition because it wasn't fully finished when I went home. And here are two cute graphics pics for example (not mine):

Some thoughts on browsers

I did a little analysis and found interesting results. Blogger template can look much different in different browsers. Maybe it's caused by a fact that blogger uses it's own language which differs a bit from standart HTML and CSS. Comparative pictures are included, click "read more" if you wanna see them.

Scarlet sisters

Well, I finally finished them (link). I decided not to make their pedestals, 'cause I put this little plank on my shelf. It's easier to place all my figurines on the shelf when using it :D Models as always were scaled to A5 (appr. 76% size).

Another model in SSN style is finished, it's the main Touhou Project game series character - Hakurei Reimu. She waits you at download page ;)

And one more thing. Last evening I almost accidentally gave an interesting snapshot of Hitagi.

Another WIP

Well, less words - more deeds.
The next step is texturing.
"Geralt has disappeared, but he is not forgotten. But that's another story." Something like this XD
Now I need to put each part on it's place and fix all errors, and I already tired of it a bit.

Megurine Luka

Ok, guys, I had finished my vocaloid Megurine Luka model. As I told earlier, it's made in style of SSN's works, and I suppose that his additional faces for Miku are suitable to my model.
I was going to use metallized paper for golden parts and I made additional sheet with this details, prepared for printing on coloured paper. But my printer didn't give me a good result with metallized paper, so I built a regular version. Also I printed it in 0,76% size as I always did with SSN's models.
Well, look at the pics and don't forget to check download page) Have fun! See you

Just a good day

Today I decided to go cycling instead of sitting beside my computer all the day. The weather was fine, and I had rode a total of about 70 km. Actually, I wasn't going to drive so far, but it happened :D I also regret I didn't took my camera, but I made some photos with my phone.
And also take a look at new render of model from previous post.

A slight digression

Hello! Making such a complex model as Geralt is hard, so I want to escape from it for a while :-P
This figurine is based on my very old project (but I hope to finish it someday) and inspired by SSN's works. Some details are not made yet (wrists, headphones, etc.).
Well, who is it, try to guess yourself ;)

Opening the curtain

I think that time has come to uncover the secret of my new figurine. I already told that it will be little non-standard for me, and this is the legendary witcher Geralt of Rivia, the one of my favourite pc-game heroes. I took model from the first game, because I like "old" Geralt much more than new. The model had been optimized for making of paper, and it's almost finished. Next time I'll refine hair (it's still not optimized) and make swords.

Today I had built this wonderful new model of kingfisher designed by Johan Scherft. He colorizes his cutouts with watercolors and gouache, and it looks so realistic! I wish I could draw as well as he.

I decided to upload pics on blogspot, maybe now I'll do so all the time.
P.S. the new figurine is in progress, and it will be something non-standard for me. I'll show render later :)

Hitagi is finished

Hi! Finally, I finished this model. I believe it turned out quite similar to its prototype) There's only one weakness - it can't stand on its own. I always glue a piece of lead into boots, so my model can stand, but it is still very unstable. Thus, the stand will probably be needed.

British Steel

Hi! I wanted to take a little break and rest from anime. So I decided to build something not very difficult but well looking and interesting. I came across this 1/43 Challenger 2 model and found it a good choice, cause I am fascinated by tanks very much longer than anime (but I mainly built plastic models) :)

Hitagi's face

Well, I reworked her face. This time I used my old good method. I made a screenshot from anime when she looked directly at "camera" and then used it.

It seems to be better than previous version, now she looks like a real tsundere :-D
Comments and critics are welcome)

New model is coming

Here's my new model, Senjougahara Hitagi from Bakemonogatari.

Ha ha, ok, it's just a render, not a paper model yet :-P I edited it a bit so it looks like my photographs)
And two simple renders:

I don't quite like her face, maybe I'll try to refine it.

Forest and Clannad

Hello everyone again!
Two days ago I returned from a hike to a forest near railway station Kannelyarvi in Leningrad Region. It was almost 3 weeks long (but I went back home three times). Water in the lake was very warm, so I wasn't only sitting near the bonfire ;) I also saw many different birds, two squirrels and a little fox. Well, don't know what to write else about it, just look at the pictures :)

But the main reason why writing this post is that I finished Kotomi model. Sometimes I thougth it's the most hard-to-assemble of my models. The violin is something special... Well, I did it, so you can too ^_^ I also improved instruction a bit.

Kotomi progress

Today I wanna show my new model. It's still in progress, but I think to finish it at the weekend (but I don't promise :-P). I'm continuing making Clannad series, this time it will be Kotomi Ichinose.
At the moment, model is printed and the head is finished:

The beginning

Hello everyone!
After more than a half-year of interest in anime and anime papercraft, I decided to create my own blog. Here I will publish all my works on this subject.
Firstly, I'd like to show papercrafts designed by other authors, that I assembled. I will not create a separate gallery for them, so I'll publish new photos on the main page.
My first works:
